About Neck Lift
Aging affects the neck through several pathways. Skin loses elasticity, fat accumulates or shifts, and the platysma muscle separates into vertical bands. Sun exposure, weight changes, and genetics decide how soon these changes become noticeable. The result is the familiar turkey neck appearance, jowls along the jawline, and a deeper cervico-mental angle that can make a face look older than it feels.
Neck tightening surgery removes redundant skin, repairs the platysma muscle in the midline, and contours any excess fat. Where appropriate we add liposuction or a small chin implant to support the jawline. The technique is chosen after careful examination of skin quality, muscle tone, and bony landmarks, and is explained to you with the help of photographs and a written plan.
Anti aging neck treatment is not always surgical. Younger patients with mild skin laxity may benefit from radiofrequency, ultrasound-based skin tightening, or injectable platysma treatment instead. Most neck lifts at Kayakriti are performed under general anaesthesia in our day-care theatre. Surgery takes two to three hours.
